Don’t Mix Your Metaphors

Metaphors can add impact to your writing, but be careful you don’t accidentally create a sentence that shows you don’t know how to use metaphors properly. In other words, don’t mix your metaphors.

If your midnight oil has two ends, return it and get some with no ends.
